It's called an extract
I bought a literary magazine with the intention of reading an interesting novel.
But the novel I wanted was an extract.
I have to wait a while longer and buy the published book to read the rest of the story.
I wait patiently for the book to come out.
The extract alone was interesting and I wondered what would happen to the story.
I slept for 11 hours last night and this morning.
I felt I could have slept a little longer.
I did the household accounts in the morning and ordered some winter clothes from an online retailer in the afternoon.
I also bought some bath salts.
The rest of the day I spent on the voice chat all the time.
I was talking to different people the whole time from 1:30pm to just after 6pm.
Last week, I had been wanting to join the calls, but had been holding back.
What I want from the chats is an exchange of information and empathy.
I've been really craving to listen to Chick Corea and Return to Forever's second album, Light as a Feather, which is essentially their second album, and I was listening to it at home today.
My husband mumbled, 'Do people in these amazing bands think we're amazing themselves?' to which I replied, 'I think they only think that when they listen to the playback'.
But I didn't stop at listening to that album, I listened to a Latin jazz playlist.
Light as a Feather is great on this, this member's, version when it was released, and I'm not really inclined to listen to the outtakes.
Return to Forever's musical style changed as the band members changed, but I haven't listened to much from the third album onwards.
I only listen to the first album with the seagull jacket and Light as a Feather.
But I listen to Light as a Feather more often than the album with the seagull jacket.
