Re-reading: "The Craft of Intellectual Production" by Tadao Umesao
When I first read this book, it was printed using letterpress; however, the second-hand copy that I ordered today was typeset using phototypesetting.
Reading this book has made me desperately want to buy a Kyoto University-style card index.
About three years ago, I tried to implement the Getting Things Done (GTD) system using paper, but the cards, open files and file boxes I bought are still lying dormant at home.
I'm starting to think that writing reading journal on cards would be better, too.
I tend to get more caught up in the format of writing and organising it than in what to write.
As a result, I neglect the act of writing itself.
However, what is noteworthy not for the Kyoto University style cards or the Kozane method, but for the 'Hiragana typewriter'.
And a copy of a letter written using the Hiragana typewriter is included as an image.
Looking at it now, it feels as if its spirit has been passed down to role-playing games, like Dragon Quest in the NES era.
"Oh! Brave hero! To die is a foolish act!"
It's a sentence with a unique rhythm written only in hiragana.
