Video calling
Yesterday, a friend from my teenage years sent me an email.
It was a condolence message for my mother.
She knew my mother personally.
I have some friends, but very few of them actually knew my mother.
In recent years, she and I rarely met.
I'm grateful for her kindness.
She offered to help me something, so I asked her to video call me.
I found video calling was really useful.
I have used it for work and to chat with friends online.
You don't need to arrange to meet somewhere or book a restaurant.
Over the years, we exchanged many letters , cards, and phone calls.
Now, we can meet and talk via the internet.
It was obviously a different experience to the video calls I had experienced before.
