It's serious and difficult

A textbook of IT passport examination has arrived.
It's a big book.
Its syllabus isn't the newest but I can download the additional material in which contains usage of the newest syllabus' terminology from the publisher's website.
I printed a copy of the newest syllabus itself, too.
It can be downloaded from Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan's website.

Japan is like a sinking ship.
I read a Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's report on its website.
Lack of IT human capital seems serious in Japan.
They say many Japanese companies tend to lean on IT vendors to develop their essential systems.
The people who developed the systems at those companies had been retired.
Therefore, nobody can understand their own system for business.
It has been legacy and black boxes.
To fix those systems, we have to spend humongous amount of money.
They described the situation as 'the 2025's cliff.'
We have to fix the problem by ourselves.
I had thought If I passed the exam, nothing would change.
However, the more people pass the exam, the more IT problems can be solved.
We need IT knowledge.
