Would I lose my job?
Today, someone pointed out to me that some people on the employer's side were wondering about my haircut.
The person who pointed this out to me was neither from the employer's side nor from the employee's side.
I thought, after all, the day had come when I would be told something about my haircut.
What does that relate to my job?
I am not in sales.
If, at the end of my probationary period, I was told by my employer that I couldn't sign a contract because of my hair, that would be unfair.
I don't dye my hair pink or anything like that.
I don't dye the white parts of my hair black.
It's just that my hair is shorter than other people's.
I feel bad because I thought it was going so well.
But does my hairstyle make other people feel bad?
There are several reasons why I have to look like me.
1. it's hard to pretend to be a woman, I can't think of anything good about being a woman.
2. all my hair fell out during chemotherapy four years ago and I lost my attachment to my hair (now my hair is growing back)
3. hairdressers charge too much for a haircut
4. I like Sinead O'Connor and admire her
5. it's easy to look after and my hair doesn't bother me
If I don't fit in with this look, it means I didn't fit in with the culture of the company.
Give up and look for another job.
