How deeply should I immerse myself in the song?
Today, I imagined the scenery described in a song's lyrics while singing it.
It made me feel very sad and almost brought tears to my eyes.
Thinking deeply about the lyrics made me sad because the song itself was sad.
I wonder how singers overcome this.
Perhaps there is a way to sing without being affected by emotion.
The great Japanese singer Misora Hibari used to cry every time she sang the song "Sad Sake".
However, she always gave a perfect performance, even when she cried.
