An invitation
It was Emperor's Birthday yesterday.
Many people had a long weekend.
I enjoyed happy Monday, too.
My friend took me to a Warehouse of Costco Wholesale.
They seem to call their shop a warehouse.
My friend had kindly suggested me to go for a drive some months ago.
That was when I was weary because of work.
We had promised to go somewhere together by their car in near future.
The promise saved me.
I was able to have something nice in my mind.
I haven't had a membership of Costco Wholesale.
That means I'm not their customer.
I sold my own car in 2006.
Around that time, my username of email address was 'goodbye_my_car.'
Anyway, I haven't had any chance to visit their warehouse since they expanded into Japan.
I asked her to take me to Costco by car.
Her answer was 'it's hard because they are going to sell their own toilet roll in lower price on the day.'
'The shop, car park, and road will be hugely crowded.'
So I changed my mind and suggested to go to a park nearby her home.
There are many Japanese apricot trees in the park and it is in their bloom now.
The park has been my favourite place since I was a little child.
She didn't know the park and then said, 'we can go there by walk.'
Then she searched how Costco will be crowded on the promised day again.
As a result she made up her mind to take me to Costco.
When I heard where the warehouse was, I was astonished.
It was near my mother's hometown.
Near my mother's hometown, there was a beautiful beach.
After WWII they reclaimed the beach thoroughly.
Now there are a food market, outlet mall and the warehouse of Costco.
While I haven't driven a car, even a highway expanded around there.
No one remembers the beautiful beach.
I had nostalgia but it's not my own but my mother's.
By the way, I seemed to write this diary too long.
In a nutshell, I devastated by the size of the warehouse.
I spent 10000 yen for shopping and She and I shared some food.
It was a nice and exciting day.
