My new chair and Peanuts
While I was out for work, my husband assembled my new chair for my new desk.
I chose the chair online shopping site without trial.
However, it feels excellent.
Much better than a stool.
I borrowed an American cartoon, Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz from a library.
It was translated in Japanese by Shuntaro Tanikawa.
Tanikawa was a famous poet but passed away in 2024.
The book provides also original English scripts.
I noticed the desks they're using in the cartoon are not flat.
They're inclined.
The desks we used in Japanese schools were flat.
Tanikawa's translation is brilliant.
If I got only original English scripts, I would not entirely understand their feeling or atmosphere.
