Learning about learning

I read a book about learning methods.
I was not very impressed with the book, which was called How We Learn -The Surprising Truth About When, Where and Why It Happens-.
It was a comprehensive summary of the process by which the human brain learns, covering previous research.
But I found the author's own episodes too much.

I reserved another book on learning methods at the library, which I listened to once two years ago on audiobook.
When I did so, I was about 220th in the reservation order.
The book can be borrowed for a maximum of two weeks.
I don't have to do the maths to know that I have to wait so long.

I reserved one more book on learning at the library.
This one was about number 130 in the reservation order.
I am impatient, so I gave up borrowing those books from the library.

I checked the second-hand bookshop websites and found that the prices had not dropped at all.
There were also a large number of them with aggressive prices on flea market apps.
I gave up on getting second-hand books.

They were ordered as new paper books.
Research is progressing day by day, so I want to read something that is recent in the year it was published.
If the price has not fallen, it is safe to say that the books are popular.

My husband lent me one book on learning methods and a maths book for adults.
Tomorrow I am going to the hospital again, so I will read them while I wait.
My husband also lent me an introduction to logic.

#######

I am told in Voice Chat that I am slow in speech.
They say I am slow in both Japanese and English.
English is even slower because I speak while thinking.

Recently I have been trying to speak with people from other countries.
English speakers speak so fast that it is very difficult to listen to them.
It is also difficult to listen to non-English speakers.

Voice chat channels have an atmosphere.
It is also related to the time of day.
Many people watch Japanese anime, so when I say I'm from Japan, I get a lot of attention.
Many people know Japanese.

Those people have better pronunciation than people in the past.
I think it has something to do with the amount of time they spend in contact with Japanese content.
I have digressed.

It is difficult for me to speak up among people who are speaking in English.
While I'm thinking about it, the conversation just drifts away.
But because I speak slowly, I am not often misunderstood.
I can't even talk that complicated.

I have come to realise that my biggest weakness in English is in speaking.
I wish I could have more lessons, but it's not easy.
