The battle for tickets
I have been a music lover for many years.
But I had never listened to an orchestra live.
Today, tickets for a concert went on sale and I was patiently trying to reconnect when the ticketing website was completely disconnected.
Then my husband succeeded in buying the tickets.
When we bought tickets for Rina Sawayama's Tokyo concert before, we both tried, but my husband succeeded in buying the tickets.
I couldn't connect to the site at all.
Maybe my husband has a special talent for buying tickets.
But I digress.
The ticket we bought today was for a concert in Japan by a European orchestra.
The conductor is Sakari Oramo and the piano soloist is Mao Fujita.
That's amazing.
It's really amazing to be able to listen to Mao Fujita's performance in person.
I happened to listen to a recording of Mao Fujita's performance on Apple Music Classical's recommendation and really liked it.
I felt something special about it.
I want to take good care of myself so that I don't catch a cold on that day.
The pieces are Mozart and Mahler, neither of which I am familiar with.
I will now listen to various recordings of those pieces to prepare myself.
